About Reversi (Othello)

Reversi, also known as Othello, is a strategic board game played on an 8×8 grid. Place discs to flip your opponent's pieces — any opponent discs sandwiched between your new disc and an existing one flip to your color. The player with the most discs at the end wins.

How to Play

• Click a valid cell to place your disc
• All opponent discs between your new disc and another of your discs flip to your color
• You must make a move that captures at least one opponent disc
• The player with the most discs when the board is full wins

Tips for High Scores

• Corners are the most valuable positions — they cannot be flipped
• Avoid placing near corners early — it gives your opponent access to corners

Your turn is skipped and the opponent plays again until you have a valid move.

There are 64 cells total, so the maximum for one player is 64 minus any remaining opponent discs.
