When the attachment is "too large", shrink the file first

Ever hit an attachment size limit (10MB, 25MB) when emailing a slide deck or uploading a report? The culprit is usually the high-resolution photos and screenshots embedded in the document. Drop a full-size camera photo onto a slide and it can weigh several megabytes on its own.

This tool opens the file, recompresses the embedded images to a size and quality that's plenty for on-screen viewing, and repacks it. An image is only replaced when the new version is actually smaller, so your file only ever gets lighter.

Supported formats

• PowerPoint — .pptx (biggest wins on image-heavy decks)
• Word — .docx
• Excel — .xlsx
• Hancom — .hwpx (legacy binary .hwp not supported — save as hwpx first)

How to use

1. Drop a file and pick a compression strength (Light / Medium / Strong).
2. Press Reduce Size to see original vs compressed size and the percentage saved.
3. Download the new -compressed file. Your original stays untouched.

Q. Are my files uploaded?

No. Compression runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, so company and personal documents stay private.

Q. Why do text-only files barely shrink?

The tool reduces size by recompressing images. Files with few images (mostly text or tables) have little to trim, and already-optimized files are reported as such.
